  • Save the Bays Gazette, July 17, 2014. Keeping up the Fight  Pages-1-4  Pages-5-8  The Gazette provides an update on Save The Bays’ activities during the summer of 2014, including information on the commentary period on Peter Nygard’s applications to Government for work already completed on Simms Point/Nygard Cay and additional expansion plans.

  • 2011 University of Miami Sea Floor Report – Sea bed observations of woven polypropylene sand bags, wire structures filled with rocks, PVC pipe fragments, plastic buckets and other debris, and evidence that substantial amounts of sand have been moved from the sea floor to the Simms Point/Nygard Cay beach. Affected sea floor area encompassed about 84,000 square meters.
  • 2005 Coastal Incident Report – Summary and photographic documentation of dredge pipes and a dredge pumping platform off Simms Point/Nygard Cay, damage to sea grass beds and suspicion of malicious behavior in the removal of water quality sensors from West Bay.
